To educate young people about the tragedy, courage, and triumph of the American Spirit that took place on and after September 11, 2001, through the use of Hank's nationally recognized children's book "Sirius, The Hero Dog of 9/11," his personal appearances, and the performances of his patriotic and inspirational songs. |

Hank Fellows performed his songs and spoke to the audience about songwriting, creativity, and following one's dream, on Memorial Day in western Minnesota, May 2011. At the local Memorial Day ceremony, the children's chorus sang Hank's patriotic song "One Heart, One Voice".
A New Jersey children's chorus performed "The Men Who Built America" and "The Spirit of America," May 2018. As the invited guest, Hank spoke to the students and audience about the hard-working people from many different lands who built America with their toil and sweat.
Hank Fellows was a featured speaker at the 2018 Jersey City 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, honoring the 38 residents who died on 9/11/01. Hank spoke about his own family's experience on that day, and the need to teach the legacy of 9/11 to future generations. Hank's songs have been performed at the Jersey City 9/11 commemoration each year since 2006, to honor the 38 Jersey City residents who were killed at the World Trade Center. Hank Fellows also serves as a member of this 9/11 Memorial Committee.
Pianist/vocalist Sid Cherry performed "Halfway to Heaven" and "The Spirit of America" at the Bronx, NY 9/11 Day of Remembrance, while three dancers from the Uptown Dance Company interpreted the songs in dance, Sept. 2012.
At the annual Holocaust commemoration at Kean University (New Jersey), April 2018, a Youth Choir performed "6,000,000" as part of the observance of the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising during World War II.
On Sept. 14, 2017, Hank Fellows received a Citation of Merit from Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., citing the inclusion of Hank's songs "The Spirit of America" and "Halfway to Heaven" in the annual Bronx 9/11 Day of Remembrance since 2003, honoring the 144 Bronx residents who died in the Twin Towers on 9/11/01. The Southern Arizona Women's Chorus performed Hank's song "The Spirit of America" at the annual D-Day Ceremony held in Normandy, France, June 6, 2016, to commemorate the Allied landing on the Normandy beaches on June 6, 1944, during World War II.
Hank performed his song "One Heart, One Voice" with a senior community chorus near Tampa, Florida for three sold-out performances of their annual "Follies" show, March 2018. Hank also spoke to the audience about New York City's courageous recovery from the devastation of 9/11.
A New Jersey Fifth Grade chorus of over 100 students performed three of Hank's songs, "6,000,000," "Carry On," and "The Spirit of America" at their Spring Concert. Hank was the invited guest at the Concert, and spoke to the students and audience about the need for collaboration in musical performances between the composer, the musical director, and the performers, April 2014.

During his visit near Tampa, Florida, March 2018, Hank conducted a Songwriting Workshop, explaining the basics of writing, producing, marketing, and performing one's own songs. At key points in his Workshop, Hank performed three of his own songs, and then took questions from the audience.
Hank spoke at the Veterans Day ceremony at a Middle School in northern Georgia, Nov. 2008. The Middle School Chorus sang "My Coat of Many Colors" and "Halfway to Heaven" at this ceremony.
Hank was the guest of honor at a school Christmas program in central Wisconsin, Dec. 2011, where the student chorus sang "The Spirit of America".

Hank was master of ceremonies at the 9/11 ceremony in Bronx, New York in Sept. 2010. Hank's 9/11 songs "The Spirit of America" and "Halfway to Heaven" have been performed at official 9/11 ceremonies in all five boroughs of NYC, and by choruses across America.
Vocalist Daniel Siford performed "The Spirit of America" and "One Heart, One Voice" at a US Coast Guard ceremony where a new volunteer flotilla was chartered, Nov. 2014.
A Church Choir in central Illinois performed "Halfway to Heaven" on Sept. 11, 2011, to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Hank Fellows with retired Fire Chief Alexander Santora (FDNY) and his wife Maureen at the Queens, NY 9/11 remembrance ceremony, Sept. 2015, where Hank's songs were performed. The Santora's son, Christopher, at the age of 23, was the youngest firefighter to die at the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.
